His Capa Was Detated From His Head!

I feel kinda weird writing in my LJ when I don't really know a lot of people on here yet. . . . Specifically, I feel weird writing as if someone is actually reading this, haha. XD But, whatever; what's the point of having a journal if I don't write in it, anyway? ONTO MY ACTUAL POST.

So Lizzie and I had a sleep-over at my house on Saturday. We mostly just loafed around and watched an insane amount on YouTube vids, including all 20+ episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Se ries, which I now can't stop quoting. XD I also shared with her the love that is DBZ the Real Abridged Series. Go see it, O Non-Existant Reader, quickly! It's basically the only funny abridged series of DBZ out there. The first episode isn't that great . . . but episode two and beyond are pure awesomeness.

Lizzie also gave me my Christmas present early! It's a cute creme-and-pink hearts wallet she got off of Amazon.com, which is great, since I've been needing to buy an actual wallet since . . . forever. XD

And just last night (Tues.), Steph came over for a sleep-over, as well. Yay, sleep-overs galore, haha~ Anyway, it was great to see her again, especially since she's leaving in a few weeks to go live far awwwwaaayyy. ;_; (Well, not that far away, but still.) We played some Guitar Hero (I've gotten a lot better at clicking dem buttons; SOON I SHALL BE A TRUE GUITAR HERO), and watched some episodes of The Office, which seemed to get funnier and funnier the more tired we were. XD In the morning we went out to Jimmy Johns' to eat (mmm, it was good, but the sub was too big, so I couldn't eat it all, haha), and then on some errands for a Christmas gift Steph's making for her boyfriend. All in all, a good beginning of the week. :3

Oh, and for anyone reading this: look up the LJ slogan generator and type in the word "poo." Then let the hilarity begin. XD This should be done preferably around 3 A.M. to enhance the lulz.

Yep. . . .

OMG HOW DO I END POSTS NATURALLY?!

. . .

OH WELL. ENDED.

Good Morning, Starshine! The Earth Says, "Hello!"

I'm on El Jay now! =O

Hmm, I don't really know what to say for my first post, so I guess I'll just wing it and babble about random things. As usual. XD

Today I started an interesting new book called Fevre Dream by George R.R. Martin. (As if I didn't have enough to read already. . . .) Apparently he's a pretty popular author (?), but I'd never heard of him before I saw a little blurb about 'im in Entertainment Weekly. Anyway, I'm pretty psyched to start reading his novels, since, from what I'd read of him in his interviews, etc., he seems like my kind of author. XD It's eerie how a lot of his thoughts on writing and the fantasy genre oddly mirror my own. We are one, he and I; we are like the earth and sky~ Haha. Okay, enough Disney for tonight.

The only thing that rubs me the wrong way about him, though, is how he's all anti-fanfiction. Whatevs, I can ignore that for the sake of my own entertainment. XD I hate it when authors get all up in arms over fanfiction, though. . . . *stifles oncoming rant*

Oh! And his more popular, "epic" fantasy novels (the A Song of Ice and Fire series) are also slated to have an HBO adaptation sometime soon. And seeing as how I usually love HBO's shows (Rome, come back to meeeee) . . . this is making me even more excited, haha. C'mon, Martin and HBO, fill my LOTR void!

Well, back to reading. :3

P.S. Haha, my choice in music is super relevent to this post, yeeeessss.

P.P.S. WTF picking out only fifteen LJ icons is stressful when you're indecisive! Must. Have. All.
